Don Bradfield
Sept. 6, 2016 — Don Bradfield, Microwave Products Division general manager at Southwest Microwave, has been selected as a featured presenter at the upcoming EDI CON and Antenna Systems 2016exhibitions.

Bradfield’s presentation will focus on Southwest Microwave’s SSBP RF and microwave coax interconnect cabling designs, one facet of the company’s wide array of industry-pioneering millimeter wave and high-power RF applications, recognized as the highest-performing on the market.

“We developed these solutions as a result of our longstanding partnerships with device engineering teams in the commercial, military and scientific sectors, which have given us a unique perspective on the packaging challenges presented by standard interconnect cabling,” said Bradfield.

With over 30 years of experience developing customized microwave components, Bradfield has worked extensively with system engineers and integrators.  The result of that is an understanding of how SSBP RF/microwave/mmWave coax contacts can solve the system design problems associated with continually-reduced space and weight without sacrificing performance.

“I look forward to sharing how our innovative, miniaturized SSBP solutions solve the questions facing many system designers and integrators: how to achieve multiple connections on a board, with a compact footprint and light weight, within budget constraints, while achieving higher performance and greater bandwidth.”

He explained that SSBP RF interconnects are ideal for applications such as tight spaces of phased array antennas, multi-function RF subsystem, unmanned systems or any multiple RF signal application requiring high isolation cable to cable.

Design engineers and system integrators who would like to learn more are invited to attend Bradfield’s “Next-Generation Interconnect Cabling” presentations, offered at EDI CON USA in Boston on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. and Antenna Systems 2016  in Las Vegas on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 4:15 p.m.
