Interconn Technical Sales

February 20, 2017 — Interconn Technical Sales is Southwest Microwave’s new manufacturer’s representative for Washington, Oregon and British Columbia.

Headed by Alex Guletsky and Tom McKenna, with a combined 70 years of experience serving leading OEM T&M customers across all major markets including semiconductor, medical, military / aerospace and telecommunications, Interconn has a long history of providing highly-engineered connector, cable, cable assembly and electronic components solutions.

Interconn offers leading-edge, high-performance RF component and engineering services including  microwave connectors; hermetically sealed micro-electronic packaging and components; precision laser machining, cutting, drilling, scribing (with extensive materials application engineering); custom and standard ceramic single layer capacitors, sub-mounts and shorts; high-performance (military-spec) PCB/PCA manufacturing with state of the art test/validation services, and custom RF and multi-conductor cables for a variety of applications.

In 2015, Alex and Tom were handpicked by Brent Adams, the former principal of the organization (then operating as Adams Technical Services), to take over his business as he entered retirement.

“We had worked for many years in the RF and microwave business and knew of Southwest Microwave’s industry reputation for excellent product performance,” said Alex.

“When Brent first made the suggestion of a transition, we knew we would be very fortunate to have the opportunity to represent a leading-edge company and one that fit our backgrounds.”

Tom and Alex both have engineering and sales development backgrounds from their time at AMP Inc. and Precision Interconnect (both now part of TE Connectivity) . Alex started as an application engineer and has been actively engaged with multiple T&M OEMs over the past 20 years. He recently cofounded High Speed Interconnects. Tom began his career as a sales engineer at W.L. Gore and has led product management, sales and marketing, and business development initiatives for high-tech startups.

“We’re very pleased with this transition, which was engineered by our longtime associate Brent Adams, and we have every confidence in Tom and Alex’s abilities to nurture our interconnect product sales in the Pacific Northwest,” said Holger Stuehrmann, Southwest Microwave’s director of sales. “We look forward to the opportunities this new partnership will offer.”
